Legal Notice for Psychology Clients: In compliance with the No Surprises! Act, all licensed healthcare providers are required to notify clients of their federal rights and protections against “surprise billing” for self-pay services and to provide a good faith estimate of charges to prospective psychotherapy clients to avoid billing surprises after treatment has started.

It is difficult to predict the total length of treatment in mental health care. Each client has a right to decide how long they would like to participate in psychotherapy. You can review the estimate provided to you at the time of scheduling or at least one day before your appointment. We will collaborate to determine together how long to continue services for you.

The “good faith” estimate of fees is not a contract. The use of these services is at will. Clients are not obligated to engage in any services. Please reach out with any questions you may have via the Contact form. Thank you.

Insurance information

Cheryl’s services are out of network with insurance and Medicare. The business practices of insurance and Medicare tend to put corporate interests and profit before people which suffocates the quality of covered services. Conversely, in independent private practice free from large bureaucratic networks, Cheryl can provide the best possible service for you without regard to “what’s covered”.

Sliding scale and pro bono appointments
No sliding scale but Cheryl routinely keeps a few pro bono appointment sessions for individuals in need. These appointments are typically filled by current clients facing financial hardship.
